Alas, after 2 looooong months I decided to say my goodbye to the Indian lady residing on my head and get back to my roots!! My goal was to make it 3 months but I just couldn’t do it. I have never been happier to see my hair…I missed her! It’s always good to take a break every now and then but my time had come to an end. Thursday night I tackled taking down my hair (with the help of my wonderful hubby) and boy was it a task. Friday I spent some quality time with my long lost hair, shampooing, conditioning, steaming, twisting…everything under the sun. She needed it though and it felt good.
I’m pretty pleased with the end result. It’s probably going to take me some time to get used to her again but that’s okay. I’m looking forward to exercising my creativity and trying some different styles this time around. Wish me luck 😉
